Roc Majoral

Formentera, 1976

Roc Majoral was born in Formentera (Balearic Islands) in 1976. Since 1994, he has worked in his father Enric Majoral's workshop, where he learned the jeweler's craft. In 2003, he joined the company's design department while gradually taking on the responsibility of workshop manager.

Creator of the most emblematic collections of the Majoral brand, in 2012 he won the Couture Design Award for Gold (Las Vegas, USA) with the gold design of the Tresor necklace (co-designed with Abril Ribera) and in 2015, the Couture Design Award for Silver for the silver design of the Marina necklace.

He has participated, among others, in Espacio joya 2013 (Barcelona), in the conference "Mediterranean-inspired Jewelry" at EASD (School of Art and Superior Design in Gran Canaria), in the Third Design Habitat Conference (Madrid), and at the Kyoto Handicraft Center, during the Catalan Art and Crafts Days in Japan.

His creative journey links two expressive intentions; the development of his language as a creative jeweler while keeping alive, innovating, and driving the conceptual and technical evolution of the Majoral brand's signature. Roc Majoral's jewelry is identified by a deep sense of harmony that permeates all his collections, those that display a formal language inspired by experiences, nature, or landscape, and those that draw from urban culture in all its aspects.

Enric Majoral

Sabadell, 1976

The ancestral Mediterranean culture and the island of Formentera in particular are at the foundation of the Majoral universe; from nature to architecture, including traditional jewelry, ways of life, myths, and the ways of doing things of an ancient and persistent culture. Enric Majoral connects this anthropological substrate with modernity and urban culture, establishing a dialogue between tradition, innovation, and experimentation.

Enric Majoral Castells was born in Sabadell (Barcelona) in 1949 and since 1972 has lived and worked between Formentera and Barcelona. Self-taught, he has been creating jewelry since 1974 and in 1984 became a founding member of the La Mola Art and Craft Fair in Formentera.

In 1985, he joined Orfebres FAD - Promotion of Decorative Arts of Barcelona and in 2007 received the "National Crafts Award" from the Ministry of Industry. In 2014, he received the Professional Career Award from the Catalonia College of Jewelers (JORGC), and in 2019, he was awarded the Ramon Llull Prize from the Balearic Government in recognition of his career as a jeweler.

He has exhibited his jewelry at the Pilar and Joan Miró Foundation in Palma, the National Art Museum of Catalonia, and in countries such as Germany, Japan, and the United States. The Museum of Arts and Design of New York (MAD NY) has two of his pieces in its permanent collection.

A family business that maintains its connection with the island of Formentera intact.
